One of the king house, it is the biggest world site in the Unesco's list. It is the perfect destination to discover all the amazing Châteaux de la Loire even more with the culture, history and architecture that the French region has to offer.

You could also appreciate close to the resort the Château de Chenonceau and the Mini Châteaux de la Loire Park ( located front of the resort).

Visits to the Châteaux de la Loire, guided tours of Amboise's historic sites, river cruises on the Loire, hot air balloon trips, wine cellars, night markets, craft fairs. Numerous festivals throughout the year, e.g. the Foire du Printemps, a Brass Band festival, wine fairs, the Rallye Coeur de France, Christmas market and ice rink in Winter, and sound and light shows at the Château d'Amboise.

The Château de Chenonceau (the second most visited historic monument in France after Versailles castle). The Château Royal d'Amboise, the Château du Clos-Lucé, last residence of Leonardo de Vinci, Le Parc des Mini-Châteaux (miniature models of the Châteaux - opposite the residence), La Pagode de Chanteloup.Nearby: several leisure and activity parks, zoos, Val du Loire aquarium, forest adventure course, nearby towns: Tours, St-Pierre-des-Corps, Orléans and Blois.

ACCESS

By road

From Paris or Bordeaux, take A10 (the Autoroute for "L'Aquitaine"), followed by the E5 and then the E60. The Val de Loire Resort is on the edge of the Forest of Amboise, at the crossroads between the D31 (boulevard Saint-Denis-Hors) and the D81 (labelled as the road for Chenonceaux, or Civray-de-Touraine).
