The ski resort of Valmeinier is comprised of two villages situated at an altitude of 1500m and 1800m. Located on the border of the Northern and Southern Alps between les Ecrins and la Vanoise.

The ski area of Valloire is linked to that of Valmeinier offering 150 km of slopes, 70% of which are above the altitude of 2000 metres, guaranteeing good snow quality. The ski area is spread across 1600 hectares, situated between 1430m and 2600m allowing for all levels of skiers with 6 black runs, 31 red runs, 25 blue runs and 21 green runs. Among other activities this resort also offers night time skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, microlight flights.
